COACHING STAFF PROFILES - 2006/2007
PJ YEDON - HEAD COACH

PJ enters his fourth season behind the bench with the Rangers organization, 2007-2008 being his second as Head Coach.  During his tenure, his commitment to player development has produced 4 NCAA Division I student-athletes, 5 Division III student-athletes, 4 CIAU student-athletes and 5 OHL graduates.

Players having graduated from the program describe him as a "player's coach" who demands hard work, discipline and accountability.

PJ played for the North York Rangers in 1998, and went on to receive a full scholarship to Colgate University.  He played 125 games and had 31 goals and 44 assists for 75 points.  PJ graduated from Colgate in 2003 with a degree in History/Education.

 

Jason Skilnick Associate Coach
Jason Skilnick has been involved in hockey for the past 25 years.  As a player he played junior hockey in the Canadian Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League and also with the Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Terriers of the SJHL.  He then turned his life towards being a student-athlete, where he obtained my business degree at Queen's University, while playing in the CIAU hockey league with the Queen's Golden Gaels.

From 2002 to 2005, Jason spent considerable time as an Assistant Coach with the North York Rangers Junior A Hockey Team.  During the past
2006-07 season he coached with the North York Ranger Minor Midget AAA
Team, that competed in the GTHL.   Jason has returned to the North
York Rangers for the upcoming 2007-08 season, as Assistant Coach with a focus on the team's defensemen.

Jason has also spent considerable time personally bettering himself as a coach by attending various hockey seminars including Hockey Canada's International Coaches Conference in the summer of 2006.  In addition, he is in the process of completing the 'High Performance 1' coaching certification.

 

Kyle Adams - Associate Coach

Kyle Adams joins the North York Rangers Jr A hockey club, from four years of experienceas as a AAA head coach in the GTHL.

Kyle is a former pro hockey player, having played for the BC ice men in the UHL,and the Cape fear fire antz in the SPHL also played a year at Sir Wilfrid Laurier University

MANAGEMENT STAFF PROFILES

HENRY GRAD, P. Eng. - GENERAL MANAGER
Henry returns for his fourth season as the Rangers GM with the purpose of continued success at North York both on the ice as well as off the ice through player placement in US and Canadian colleges.  Henry has been involved in the Toronto hockey scene for over 15 years in various managerial and executive roles and hopes to continue to develop a high quality program here at North York through player development and promotion.
SPENCE KIRTON - ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER
Spence will assume the Assistant General Manager position for the 2004/2005 season.  He has had an extremely successful coaching career including the head coaching with the Rangers Jr. A Team.  In his new role he will be assisting the General Manager in his daily activities with an emphasis on placement of players in Colleges/Universities and other leagues across North America.
